Overview
This course is a three day programme with a blend of tutorial input, case studies, discussion groups and practical exercises. The first day begins with a Leadership Audit, helping delegates to discover how they perform and how a team develops given different leadership styles. The difference between managing and leading is explored followed by the 7 stages of business growth and the leader's role. To lead you need people who will follow, so understanding the make-up of teams and the needs of individuals is the next subject.
There is a fascinating session on coaching, perhaps one of the most overlooked of all the leadership skills. Research has revealed that coaching staff to greater personal achievement is the true hallmark of a leader.
